Inside the new Twyford Hall Complex

Some of our lucky Rotarians & Partners enjoying a private tour

We were extremely fortunate to be invited to a very interesting private tour of the new Twyford Hall Complex by Lis Shelley, Operations & Programming.

Twyford Hall has been the heart of Merimbula since 1931, long serving as a space for community events, celebrations, markets, the arts and so much more.   It’s good to see that the heritage listed Twyford Hall has been kept and the new modern state of the art theatre complex integrated alongside.

In the beginning, a trust was established for the hall when a title of land was generously donated by Merimbula resident J.W.Twyford in 1931, who had been raised in the seaside village from his childhood years.  To find out more on the history, please click on https://twyfordhall.com.au/history/

You can support the completion of the fitout of the new 199 seat Theatre by donating $1,000 or more to cover the cost of installing a seat and your donation will be acknowledged by a small plaque with your name – or the name of someone you wish to honour – on a seat in the new theatre. You can enter the preferred seat plaque name(s) on the GiveNow form: https://twyfordhall.com.au/donate/

There is an exciting program in store for us over the coming months and we are all looking forward to coming along to support all the performers, https://twyfordhall.com.au/events/
