Pambula Rotary Club invited Merimbula and Bega Rotary members along to their recent meeting to share in the opportunity to listen to their Guest Speaker, Dr Jessie Harman. Jessie with husband, Andrew, are on holiday visiting the Sapphire Coast, so a big thank you to you both for your company.
Jessie, a member of the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast, Victoria, has been chosen as the first female Rotary International Director from Zone 8 for 2021-23. Zone 8 now covers oceanic countries including Australia, New Zealand, East Timor, Papua New Guinea and other Pacific Island nations.
Jessie is a remarkable speaker and we were all enthralled with her insight and vision for Rotary. She spoke about the opportunities that Rotary has which will make a difference in our local community, especially with environmental issues. Jessie maintains an active interest in Rotary’s youth and leadership programs.
We wish Jessie well in her upcoming position and we hope she & Andrew can visit us again very soon.
