Our Guest Speaker at our Club Meeting held on 17 November was District Governor, Leo Farrelly, OAM.  Leo expressed what a pleasure it is to come down to visit our Club.

He gave a brief history on what led him to become a member of Rotary.  He joined the Navy and then volunteered with different service clubs, Vinnies, Scouts Australia and Ulysses Motor Cycling which met the social needs of older generations and the support they need.

The Future of Rotary – “If Rotary is to realise its proper destiny, it must be evolutionary at all times, revolutionary on occasions.” Paul Harris, Founder

Then onto his presentation which included:
  • Introduction
  • Rotary International & the direction we get from them
  • Our Journey together
  • How we are developing D9705
  • A close-up view of RC Merimbula
Thank you, Leo, for such an enlightening talk.  Thanks also to Area Six Governor, Adam de Totth for coming along to meet members face to face.  Our previous meeting with Adam had to be held via ZOOM.
