Our new Stallholder Enabling Package for casual stallholders without their own Insurance.
See https://rotaryclubofmerimbula.com.au/ to follow our work on community projects.
Covid World. December sees the big opening-up to all in our community. Omicron raises new concerns, but QR check-in, Face Masks & social distancing / density will generally be optional. Check info: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/easing-covid-19-restrictions/opening-in-dec
Stallholder Enabling Package (SHEP) offers a range of services to protect the casual stallholder whilst in the market. We still require stallholders generally to have their own Public Liability Insurance. Check your other policies to see if they can be extended for market PLI. AAMI & My Market Insurance offer very reasonable cover. You’ll get a better price on the phone rather than on-line, talk with your insurer or broker.  Target $110 p.a. for $10M PLI cover.
NEW YEAR EVE Market 31st December 2021 – 10am to 3pm. Bookings are open on https://www.trybooking.com/BSXRF  We really encourage you to get on board. NYE market attracts the largest number of visitors but a smaller number of stalls = perfect selling storm.

The Rotary Club of Merimbula recognises that stallholders may be unfamiliar with our market and our terms that require stallholders have their own Public Liability Insurance. The SHEP is designed to encourage a limited number of casual stallholders to attend the market and receive a range of services including:
  • Introduction to how our market operates and services provided.
  • Advice on site selection to suit products / services offered, people flow, orientation, shade shelter etc. Proximity to complementary / distance from similar products etc.
  • Assistance with booking and payment.
  • Establishing regular attendance & name tagging preferred sites.
  • Market analysis data, number of stalls, visitors and best markets to attend.
  • Complementary $20M Public & Product Liability Insurance for uninsured losses incurred by stallholders under Rotary Merimbula group cover.
  • Advice on Safety and Covid protection plans & restrictions.
  • Inclusion / promotion through our Club website and media.
  • Other help that improves stallholders’ experience at our market.
The SHEP ticket costs $5 per market (including complementary insurance) and can be purchased online when booking your site. The insurance does not provide any coverage for Personal Injury or Property Damage in connection with certain Products Hazard and Amusements Operators. Such risks are generally for stallholders operating on a more regular basis and carrying their own PLI specific to their products & services.
