Tura Beach Country Club – Local Rules
 
  1. Any young trees and shrubs identified by stakes are no play zones.  If a player’s ball lies on or touches such a tree or shrub or such a plant interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing the player must take relief under rule 16.1f.  Rule 17.1e applies if the young tree or shrubs are located in a penalty area.
 
  1. All garden beds defined by white and green stakes are no play zones.  If a player’s ball lies in such a bed, the player must take relief under Rule 16.1f.  All other wood chipped areas are part of the General Area and the ball must be played as it lies.
 
  1. All roads and paths in the general area that are constructed from imported materials are treated as immovable obstructions from which free relief is allowed under Rule 16.1.
 
  1. If a ball lies on an ants’ nest it may be treated as an abnormal ground condition and relief may be taken as per Rule 16.1.  Interference does not exist if the ants’ nest only interferes with the player’s stance.
 
  1. Wheel ruts created by course maintenance machinery or golf carts are to be treated as ground under repair and relief taken in accordance with Rule 16.1.
 
  1. All pegs defining the margins of penalty areas are to be treated as immovable obstructions.  No relief may be taken from an immovable obstruction when the ball lies in a penalty area (see Rule 16.1a).
 
  1. Areas in bunkers that are eroded or damaged by water are to be treated as an abnormal ground condition.  If there is interference by this condition a player may take relief as per rule 16.1c.
 
  1. If a sprinkler head, on or within two club lengths of the putting green of the hole being played, and within two club lengths of the ball, intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, a player may obtain relief under Rule 16.1b without penalty provided the ball is not in a bunker or penalty area.
 
  1. All bunkers defined with flags in them are to be treated as Ground Under Repair in the General Area.  It is not treated as a bunker during the round and the player must take free relief under Rule 16.1b.
